Dry Stone Walling
On the 24th November we participated in a Dry Stone Walling Workshop working in Partnership with Outdoor Elements, Simonstone (logo attached). Throughout the day we rebuilt a part of a falling wall and also dug out a water flow way to avoid overflow on the path below. Participants attended from our current funded Job Clubs – Good Health Fund, CSF Burnley and Blackburn projects.
This workshop encouraged individuals to try a new skill, problem solving skills as it is like piecing a jigsaw together, team work which is all qualities that potential employers are looking for. The day was a huge success and everyone who participated enjoyed it.
