We are excited to announce the launch of our project, Dis-Labelled.
Dis-Labelled has been created to raise awareness and reduce stigma around invisible disabilities.
80% of disabilities aren’t visible and 90% of people with a disability don’t use a wheelchair, so why are disabilities still represented by an outdated symbol.
We’re working to update the symbol to better represents all disabilities. This will encourage people to adopt more inclusive attitudes and change peoples’ mindsets around disability.
Dis-Labelled also makes shirts and other products. We do this all in house which creates employment opportunities for disabled people, as well as raising funds to support all of our work.
