Glass Painting Workshop

lancashire health and wellbeing centre cic

This workshop’s aim was to provide the opportunity for participants to express their feelings regarding their future.

Looking at hopes and dreams: this workshop was acting as a tool for allowing feelings to be expressed through art. Plenty of informal discussion regarding colours and feelings will give participants the opportunity to express themselves, when they normally may feel constrained to do so.

Colours and shapes can mean different things to different people and the act of choosing can reveal unspoken thoughts.

“Art therapy asks you to explore your inner experience—your feelings, perceptions and imagination. While art therapy may involve learning skills or art techniques, the emphasis is generally first on developing and expressing images that come from inside the person, rather than those he or she sees in the outside world. “ – Malchiodi

Participants completed their own work and took these home. It is hoped that the experience will encourage participants to seek further opportunities in creating art and details of courses and classes, available locally, was provided.
